About The Work
Jaanika Peerna’s practice encompasses drawing, installation and performance and thematically addresses transitions in natural phenomena. Using materials such as mylar and plastic paper, Peerna explores relationships between line, space, and elements of the natural world, such as light, wind, and water. She combines her works with performance, through her regular collaboration with other artists, dancers, and musicians. The scope and diversity of her practice allow her works to be understood as part of an ongoing process and flux.
